These terms govern your use of the Ambysto Tune app ("Tune") and the purchase of a Tune Pro license from Ambysto Technologies LLC ("Ambysto", "we", "us"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of Wyoming, United States, with its registered office at 1021 E Lincolnway #10890, Cheyenne, WY 82001. They apply together with the Ambysto Terms of Service, which cover all our products; where this page is more specific about Tune, this page applies. By installing, buying or using Tune, you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use Tune

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use Tune on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.

2. What Tune is

Tune is a desktop app for macOS 14 or later, part of the Ambysto Pro Suite. It turns macOS settings for Finder, the Dock, Mission Control, animations, keyboard, text and screenshots into switches, lets you turn your own login agents on or off, and shows a privacy checklist and Spotlight status. It runs on your own computer and has a free version. Pro features are unlocked with a license key that you buy once, for Tune alone or for the whole suite. The features in Free and Pro are described on this website at the time of purchase.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Tune. You may use the free version at no cost. A Pro license key unlocks the Pro features of the apps it lists, within the use limits described on this website or at checkout.

You may not share, resell or publish your license key, or attempt to bypass the license check.

4. Your settings

Tune changes a setting only when you turn on its switch, pick a choice or turn a login agent on or off. Each switch says what it changes, when the change takes effect and its risk. You are responsible for reviewing a change before you make it.

• Before Tune writes a setting, it saves the value it replaces in its journal on your Mac, and it reads the setting back afterwards. If it cannot read the current value, or the setting is managed by a profile, Tune refuses the change.
• You can restore any change, or all of them, from the journal. A restore script in Tune's folder can put the saved values back without the app.
• Some changes take effect only after Finder or the Dock is relaunched. Tune asks before it relaunches them.
• Tune needs no administrator password and changes settings of your own user account only. It does not change security settings such as Gatekeeper, the firewall, FileVault or software updates.
• macOS updates or other apps can change or override a setting after Tune has written it. Tune tells you at launch when a setting no longer holds the value it wrote.
• Use Tune only on computers you own or are authorized to manage.

5. Price and payment

A Tune Pro license is a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout. It does not renew, and you are not charged again for it. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes, which are added where required. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Tune to break any law or infringe anyone's rights, to change computers you are not authorized to manage, or to resell or sublicense Tune without our written permission.

7. Updates and changes

We may update or improve features over time. If an app update removes a material Pro feature, you may keep using the version you already have, or request a full refund of that Pro license within 30 days of the update.

8. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these terms, Tune is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that every setting has a visible effect on every version of macOS, or that a later macOS update keeps a setting Tune wrote.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ambysto will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tune is limited to the amount you paid us for Tune in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Tune at any time. Before you uninstall it, use "Restore everything before uninstalling" in the Journal to put back every setting Tune changed. We may cancel a license key if you materially breach these terms or the payment for it is reversed.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Laramie County, Wyoming.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, for material changes, notify customers by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
